Prestige has a new Flybridge range flagship, the 590.
Just announced and unveiled to Prestige dealers at the French brand’s annual gathering in June, the 590 tops of the company’s production boat line-up. Anything larger falls into Prestige’s bespoke Yacht Division’s arena.
“Fluid lines and excellent ergonomics are the hallmarks of the Prestige 590,” the boat builder says in its introduction to the 590.
A full-featured three-cabin flybridge motoryacht, the 590 features a full width midships master cabin with access via its own companionway, while forward there’s a convertible scissor singles VIP cabin and third (bunk) berth. The 590’s master and VIP each have their own ensuites and there’s a third full-size bathroom also forward.
On the main deck the 590’s new layout delivers an aft wrap-around galley with cockpit bar, coupled with main saloon with large seating area and lounge. The cockpit-saloon transition is seamless thanks to innovative glass door and hamper window set-up.
Also innovative below decks is the choice between an independent crew cabin and a large tender garage. Prestige says this is unique in the 590’s category
The 590’s flybridge itself is expansive. Accessed by a ladder stair through the generous cockpit soffit, it features two large seating areas that easily convert to sunpads.
Main deck and flybridge helm stations give the skipper a choice depending on conditions and company.
Prestige says the 590 is “ideal for local exploration and nights away”.
Below decks Cummins QSC engines and Zeus pod drive technology are combined. With twin 600hp mains, Prestige claims a 29kt maximum for thr 590 and an economical quick cruise of 23kt.
Tankage is 2200 litres of fuel and over 700 litres of freshwater. Befitting a 61ft (overall) craft, there are myriad equipment, watermaking, genset and other options.
Prestige claims to have delivered more 4000 Coupe and Flybridge models from 42-75 feet since it was established in 1989.
“The use of cutting edge technologies and systems ensure efficiencies and ease of use. Designs without pretense, the use of fine materials in light open spaces are ideal for the way we enjoy boating in Australia,” the company claims.
The 590’s first public exhibition is likely to be at Canne in September.
Closer to home, Prestige’s local dealer Sundance Marine will display the 590’s 520 Flybridge sibling at August’s Sydney International Boat Show. The 520 will also be joined by a 460S Coupe.
