Alexander Marine Australia will host an open weekend on the Gold Coast featuring its latest Ocean Alexander and Galeon models on February 5-6.
The two-day multimillion-dollar showcase will feature models including the outboard-engined Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence, the Ocean Alexander 26R and Ocean Alexander 88 Skylounge cruisers.
Alexander Marine Australia will also have boats on display from Ocean Alexander’s sister brand Galeon, including the Galeon 510 Skydeck featuring an upper entertainment deck integrated into a classic sedan styling, and the Galeon 640 Fly, a hard-topped model featuring a huge amount of flybridge space.
The 14-metre Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence has broken the mould for the brand, providing performance and pleasure in equal measure.
Available in either Sport (Targa top) or Coupe (enclosed wheelhouse) forms, the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence still has enough on board to extend a perfect day into an equally perfect night away at its owner’s whim. It even has the brand’s signature drop-down bulwarks to create even more space in the cockpit when at anchor.
The Ocean Alexander 26R – the letter stands for “revolution” indicating this is one of the newest designs in the OA fleet – is one of the grander models in the Taiwanese boat-maker’s showroom, featuring a near-plumb bow to maximise interior space and amenity.
Its flybridge can come in either an open or enclosed covered space, making it suited to climates as diverse as Hobart (where protection from the elements is important) to Darwin (where it’s not so much).
The Ocean Alexander 88 Skylounge was built to celebrate the shipwright’s 40th anniversary, and as such it wants for nothing inside and out.
Its enclosed Skylounge space – effectively an enclosed flybridge that extends aft over the cockpit – provides even more entertainment space for its waterline.
The Poland-made Galeon 510 Skydeck maximises space on what is already a compact design, featuring an upper deck space that maximises the amount of social space without spoiling the model’s classic sedan lines.
Too wet to head upstairs? A convenient soft cover can enclose the entire space, keeping it dry and clean for the next time the sun comes out.
The Galeon 640 Fly is what the brand describes as a “transformer”; it has the ability to expand from its already large interior volume to provide even more space at rest.
The Ocean Alexander and Galeon open weekend will be at the Southport Yacht Club on the Gold Coast on February 5-6.
