2020 Ocean Alexander 26R arrives in Australia

The latest model in Ocean Alexander’s Revolution motor yacht series, the Ocean Alexander 26R, has landed locally

The Ocean Alexander 26R, the latest flagship to join Ocean Alexander Australia’s local portfolio of luxury motor yachts, has officially arrived.

The flybridge boat is now in its commissioning phase ahead of officially going on sale in about three weeks’ time. Once completed, pricing is expected to come in at around $10.5 million on the water.

“It's part of the Revolution series family, so by definition that gives customers enormous volume for space, an enormous amount of living space” Ocean Alexander Australia director Todd Holzapfel told boatsales.com.au.

“It’s one of the first [Ocean Alexander] models we have with a beach club, so you've got great amenities straight off the high-low swim platform,” he said.

One of the Ocean Alexander specialities has always been large windows in the saloons. However, as part of the Revolution makeover, the Ocean Alexander 26R features floor-to-ceiling windows that, combined with the deep forward windscreen, give almost uninterrupted views of the water as soon as you walk into the saloon.

“It [the saloon] is a very open plan, which which will suit a lot of people,” Holzapfel said. “The interior decor is very European; It's a significant departure.”

One of the other standout features of the Ocean Alexander 26R is the forward VIP lounge. One of the step changes in the Revolution series of Ocean Alexander models is a near plumb bow that opens up more space forward.

“The forward VIP cabin is considerably bigger, and that enables us to have a bed that you can walk around three sides,” Holzapfel said. “There's also a walk-in robe in the forward VIP so the VIP cabin becomes a really attractive space.”

The Ocean Alexander 26R also has the Sklylounge, a large, full-beam flybridge (the sidedecks are beneath the flybridge) that greatly increases the amount of living space on the motor yacht without increasing its waterline. It includes an outdoor spa.

Holzapfel said the Ocean Alexander 26R was a “very different offering” for the brand.

“It will certainly appeal to those people that have enjoyed seeing Ocean Alexander's build quality, but where our styling has previously been quite traditional, this is a very, very modern take on things,” he said.

The 26R joins the Ocean Alexander 94R launched last year, with even larger Revolution models – stretching up to 140 feet – in the works.

The Ocean Alexander 26R will soon be available for inspection for any south-eastern Queenslanders near Alexander marine Australia’s Sanctuary Cove-based hub interested in jumping onboard.

Anyone else can contact their local Alexander Marine Australia office in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth with Holzapfel saying his staff would find a way to “get people through the boat” virtually.
