Outer Reef Yachts, a revered builder of long-range motoryachts, is strengthening the company’s global presence by signing a new representation agreement with eyachts for the exclusive sales of Outer Reefs in Australia and New Zealand.
eyachts is the powerboat division of the Windcraft Group and has developed and expanded its business to cater for the motorboat market and its Windcraft yacht owners switching to power. The company operates sales centres in Sydney and Westhaven, NZ.
This new agreement with Outer Reef Yachts, which have long been popular in North America and have made inroads in Australia, will see eyachts secure production slots for a number of Outer Reef Tridents.
Unlike the Classic Series built in Asia, the new Trident Series is built in Eastern Europe at Abel Yachts shipyard.
The Tridents are new contemporary long-range Outer Reef designs with plumb bows and European lines. The Tridents come in a 550 size initially, with 680 and 960 variants on the drawing board.
Outer Reef Yachts believes the Australasian region is an area with considerable growth potential for its robustly built, bluewater motoryachts in both its Classic Series and Trident Series.
Through this new agreement, Outer Reef Yachts is further strengthening its global reach, which currently includes 10 customer sales centre locations offering Outer Reef customers personalised service.
Peter Hrones, Managing Director of eyachts, said he has hundreds of Windcraft yacht owners contemplating their next boat and considering a long-distance motor yacht.
"The Outer Reef Classic Series boat would be perfect for their next liveaboard cruising boat.
"We are also certain the new Outer Reef Yachts' Trident Series will be a highly attractive high performance and economical long-distance cruiser of the future," Hrones said, adding another badge to his raft of boat brands.
A keen sailor, Hrones also said his own sailing family is becoming a lot more interested in powerboating.
