Suzuki adds Stealth Line to outboard engine range
Matte-black looks and design tweaks mark a major step forward for Suzuki's outboard enginesSuzuki Marine has launched new looks for a range of its four-cylinder and V6 outboard engines, finishing them in a matte-black paint job that has earned the series a new name – the Stealth Line.
The new-look engines, launched at the Miami International Boat Show and not yet on the cards for Australia, have rolled out to the DF115B, DF150, DF200, DF250 and DF250A.
The new cowling design features extra louvres, redesigned handles to make it easier to remove the cover, and the matte finish with raised black lettering – these are the only engines to feature these graphics.
The new models also offer Suzuki’s fly-by-wire engine technology that includes an auto-trim to match the trim of the engine to the running level of the boat, keyless stark and an all-new digital throttle pedal.
According to Suzuki, the engines feature new lower units designed to improve cruising performance and minimise cavitation.
The engine’s skeg also has a slight warp to it to help with manouvering, while the gear oil plug and anode are relocated behind a water screen.
The engine also has stiffer upper engine mounts to give more stability at speed.
Few other details were provided.
Late last year Suzuki reached a major production milestone, producing its four-millionth unit, a flagship DF350AMD.
