Melbourne-based boat-builder Whittley Boats has expanded into Queensland, opening a factory-backed showroom on the Gold Coast at The Boat Works.
The showroom will host the brand’s 13-model line-up ranging from cruisers to sports boats and dedicated fishing platforms, many with the choice of either Volvo Penta inboard or Yamaha outboard engines.

“Being located right on the water and in the heart of Australian boating in the Coomera marine precinct, the whole business is abuzz as we look to continue to welcome new owners to the extended Whittley family,” Whittley sales manager Laurie Jackson said.
Whittley said the move was largely made in the knowledge that the brand was extremely strong in south-east Queensland, especially with its CR-badged cruiser range.
The Boat Works has recently expanded with the facilities on its 55-acre site set to double this year with the opening of its superyacht refit yard.

The yard now features a 300-tonne, 12-metre-tall mobile boat hoist, nicknamed “Rhino”, to bring vessels stretching up to 50 metres out of the water and onto land where needed, as well as 45-, 70- and 100-tonne lifts for smaller boats.
The Boat Works superyacht yard will include 18 refit sheds and dedicated hardstand spaces, a captain’s and owner’s lounge, and even the option to berth superyachts stretching up to 75 metres – around 250 feet in the old scale.
