Whittley launches Queensland-based service division

Created as part of a new customer service division, Whittley’s Coomera-based showroom will add an in-house service department later this month as well as a mobile unit that can go where the boats are.

Whittley Queensland general manager Laurie Jackson said owners had asked for a service and maintenance program ever since the new showroom opened its doors in January.

“With the introduction of the new customer service division, we can now offer marine services to over 10,000 Whittley owners in Queensland,” Jackson said.

“Both servicing from The Boat Works complex and mobile at-home services are offered, ensuring the customer new boat buying experience continues long after the initial new boat handover has ended.”

The new service division will be led by service manager Aaron Herd, who brings more than two decades of experience in the marine industry and a strong understanding of marine engines, trailers and boats, Whittley said.

The new business will service all major brands of stern drives and outboard engined boats.

Herd said Whittley owners could now expect a lifetime customer experience that started with the first drum of resin on a new boat build.

“Boat service and post-sales support is often overlooked when purchasing a new boat,” Herd said. 

“Customers can now expect a post-sales service experience that is truly industry-leading.” 

Whittley’s Queensland division will also be able to fit factory options to boats, service engines and trailers, and provide warranty support for owners.

The showroom will also cater for spare parts, anchor winches, marine electronics supply and fittings, and boat and trailer modifications.
