Following the recent launch of the 5.02 Cuddy Walk-Thru, the new 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru now offers the convenience and safety of a forward walkthrough hatch plus all the practical extras expected from a Streaker Boats' fishing package, said the boatbuilder.
The 4.85m vessel provides the perfect platform for first-time boaters or the experienced angler that enjoys weekend boating, said Streaker Boats, adding that its compact nature means it is easily towed, easily handled and capable of venturing through waterways larger boats cannot explore.
Streaker Boats said the standout feature of the 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru is the newly designed forward hatch and windscreen that allows safe, easy and stable access through the helm bulkhead to the anchor locker.
Opening up more deck space, the walkthrough feature offers greater safety when anchoring in rough weather and allows more room to move when battling a fish round the hull, said the boatbuilder.
"Our popular 4.85 Cuddy is now more versatile than ever before," said Streaker Boats co-director, Leon Savage.
"By developing a walkthrough hatch on this compact hull, we have created a lot more useable deck space to work from, plus providing more safety up forward when accessing the anchor.
"The 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru is the ideal boat for first timers that want a compact fishing platform that is just so simple to own and maintain," Savage said.
Streaker Boats said the 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru has an uncluttered fishing cockpit, practical helm layout, and by using every ounce of space available, the design team ensured this package has all the fishing essentials including Lowrance sounder, bimini, removable baitboard, stainless steel flush-mounted rodholders and corner bait bins.
The new 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru is powered by Yamaha's F60 four-stroke outboard, which Streaker Boats said delivers economical operation plus an outstanding cruising range from the upgraded 75lt underfloor fuel tank.
Another benefit of the new 4.85 Cuddy Walk-Thru is that the hull length is over the specified 4.8m lifejacket regulation boat length which stipulates that all occupants in a powered vessel of 4.8m or under must wear a PFD1 lifejacket when underway, said the boatbuilder.
This latest release comes with all the usual Streaker Boats' extras including all the essential safety equipment.
