Melbourne based manufacturer Streaker Boats has introduced a new larger walk-through model designed to appeal to both bluewater fishermen and family boaters.
The Streaker 6100 Navigator is 6.1 metres overall and features a beam of 2.49 metres. It will handle two stroke outboards up to 200hp and four strokes up to 150hp and is equipped with a cuddy cabin that is perfect for a quick nap or to escape a sudden rain squall. It is rated to carry seven adults.
The boat’s 20 degree deadrise and flared bow ensure a comfortable and dry ride in almost all conditions. Following Streakers tried and proven design, the 6100 Navigator has a beamy open cockpit, elevated helm and passenger seats and a wide dash with enough room to hold all the latest electronic equipment.
The best news is that the Streaker 6100 Navigator has been released in an introductory "tow away no more to pay" package for just $67,450 ex-Melbourne. The package features a Yamaha 150hp four stroke outboard and a custom Easytow tandem trailer.
A meticulously prepared hull liner ensures that the surfaces inside the cuddy cabin and on the inside of the side pockets are clean and smooth fibreglass panels which not only look good but are easy to keep clean.
Fishermen will appreciate the rod storage holders fitted under the coamings, the recessed lights and the four, flush-mounted, stainless steel rod holders in the cockpit.
The stern quarter seats in the transom are designed to be fitted or removed quickly. Removing the seats gives great access over the transom for landing large fish. A generous bait board slots into holders fitted into the aft coaming.
The walk-thru deck design will appeal to everyone who has to set or retrieve an anchor offshore or in rough conditions. Leon Savage has designed a simple and efficient system that see the centre panel of the windscreen swing open and then the large foredeck hatch open to port. The crew can step up to the anchor well without climbing over bunk cushions. There are stainless steel pulpit railings from the anchor mount down both sides of the bow.
