After more than a year in research and development, Sea Fox Boat has just launched the newest member of its fishing and family boat range — the flagship Sea Fox 328 Commander centre console.
Cracking almost 50 knots (91km/h) during sea trials, the bluewater beast with a full composite foam-filled hull and deck can be paired with twin Yamaha F300s or V8 F350 outboards linked to the boat's integral 1177lt fuel tank.
Weighing 6600kg wet, with a 22.5 degree of deadrise hull measuring 3.30m across the beam, the new 328 Commander is obviously a big machine. But Sea Fox says the boat is unbelievably agile, while remaining as solid as any boat on the market in its category.
The signature wide Carolina flare in the bow flows back to a serious fishing cockpit with a fibreglass helm pod with triple deluxe bucket seats with slip armrests, a party-sized cooler, and rigging station.
Sea Fox says the 328 Commander boasts more standard features than one might expect including twin live wells, one of which is pressurised, an electric slide-out cooler, and comfort options from air conditioning to bow table and more.
The centre console is actually more like a centre cabin with electric toilet, sink and shower, even sleeping for two.
With the big twin outboards, Ultima hard top, outriggers and a total of 23 deck rod holders and 11 holders overhead, the big 328 Commander looks ready for your offshore mission.
Jason Hedge from Sea Fox Australia, the brand's sole importer, said the boat is an absolute weapon.
"It's great to see these big centre consoles becoming available in Australia and it's the right kind of boat for game and sport fishing today," Hedge adds.
"People are already comfortable on the 28ft Sea Fox, we've sold three in the last 12 months, and now offshore boaters can step it up.
"We're playing in the big centre-console market."
