The newly launched 65Q, said the builder, was customised by its owner and full-time captain for long-range cruising and offshore sportsfishing, with Australia as an early port of call.
Salthouse Marine said the 7000lt fuel capacity gives the 65Q a range of more than 1700nm between fuelling stations and along with dual 22kVa generators, the extra refrigeration and freezers that were installed onboard, ensures that no-one goes without any fresh produce for long-distance passages.
The vessel is equipped with a comprehensive glass bridge system that includes four Hatteland 19in screens inside and two 15in screens located on the outside helm, displaying information such as engine monitoring, cameras, navigation charts, sonar and ENL's seafloor profiling system (WASSP).
For navigation, Salthouse Marine said Furuno's NAVnet 3D system has been installed using Time Zero charts. The engine monitoring system utilises a Maratron interface, which provides all data needed by the captain for all four IPS units as well as other environmental information such as wind speed and direction.
The galley located in the aft of the saloon allows for easy interaction with people outside in the alfresco dining area divided by an electric window. The galley features a De Dictrich oven, convection hob, microwave and warming draw, Gagganu steamer and extraction unit, Miele dishwasher, and granite bench top of Verde Lapponia (swirly green in colour), while the outside cooking station is equipped with Gagganau wok, BBQ and teppanyaki grill, said Salthouse Marine.
The rear of the cockpit has a bait and fish filleting station with a large removable bait table attached using Tallon fittings.
The 65Q's owner plans to cruise Noumea and Coral Sea islands, then head towards Perth via the southern shores of Australia For more information, visit www.salthousemarine.com
