Pursuit, that well-known Florida-built sportfisher and family offshore-boat brand, has appointed Marine Riley on Sydney Northern Beaches as its new authorised dealer in Australia and New Zealand.
Pursuit Boats range from 23-40ft and come in centre console, walkaround, dual console, sportboat and weekender configurations. Each boat is tested and paired with factory-matched outboard engine set-ups from Yamaha.
The Pursuits imported here will arrive pre-rigged with Yamaha outboards following sea trials at the Florida facility.
But in recent years, Pursuit has shifted upmarket and produced some very cool 35-40ft express-style weekenders in its expanding outboard-powered fleet.
These high-end outboard-powered boats are as well suited to serious offshore fishing as well as social boating and coastal cruising with family and friends.
Mark Riley from Marine Riley says the quality of the Pursuit boats and their fit-out is what sets them apart.
"These guys build a really high-quality boat and a lot of them are run by owners of large motoryachts.
"The Pursuits are their day-fishing boats, so they still want the highest level of luxury and fit and finish and that's what Pursuit is really good at.
"The quality of the boats is unbelievable," Riley says after a recent visit to the Pursuit, where he placed a number of new-boat orders.
NEW CENTRE CONSOLES AND CRUISING MODELS
Marine Riley has ordered a brand-new S 328 luxury centre console to relaunch the new Pursuit line-up in Australia.
Along with twin 300hp outboards and serious sportfishing and day-boating applications, the big centre console also sleeps two in a cabin that includes a separate head.
There is C 280 centre console arriving in Australia later in 2018, plus an S 408 triple-rig centre console and an Offshore 385 cabin boat for the Auckland, NZ, market.
Pursuit's range of fishing and family boats starts with its entry-level 23ft centre console, but every model has a long list of factory options to cover all bases.
The new DC 365 was recently awarded the most Innovative product in the Center Console/Walkaround Fishing Boats category at the 208 Miami International Boat Show.
The handbuilt hulls are sea-trialled and factory-paired for outboard power, using infused construction, and deep-vee running surfaces with typically 20-24 degrees of deadrise.
There are pro-level sportfishing packages, coloured hulls, and various electronic options including joysticks for the racks of Yamaha outboards.
PURSUIT EXPANDS IN AUSTRALIA

"They have a dealership culture and customer centric business philosophy that lines up perfectly with the values and goals that we manage our business by at Pursuit," Hetzel said.
Marine Riley will handle the sales and service responsibility for Pursuit Boats from its Mona Vale location on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Riley is confident the boats will resonate with local boaters.
"Pursuit Boats has earned a solid reputation for delivering the absolute best in quality product and business support. Here at Riley Marine, we cater to a clientele with very high expectations and our Pursuit partnership makes for a perfect fit," Riley said.
