Next-gen BRABUS Shadow 38 range revealed

BRABUS Marine has pulled the covers off its latest collaboration with Axopar, debuting its new eye-popping Shadow 38 luxury adventure boats

BRABUS Marine has debuted the all-new Shadow 38 range at the Cannes Yachting Festival, representing a new generation of its high-performance adventure boats.

Using Axopar’s popular 38 platform as its base, the Shadow 38 range is available in two power configurations: the 850 XC Cross Cabin and the 1000 XC Cross Cabin.

The BRABUS Shadow 850 XC Cross Cabin is powered by twin Mercury Verado 425 V10 outboard engines producing a combined 625kW/850hp. The vessel has a top speed of 55 knots and is said to offer “strong mid-range torque” for stable and controlled high-speed cruising.

Topping the range is the BRABUS Shadow 1000 XC Cross Cabin, which gets its combined 735kW/1000hp output from twin Mercury Racing 500R V8 outboard engines. Its top speed is listed at 60 knots, with BRABUS claiming “immediate throttle response” and “breathtaking acceleration” combined with “precise handling”.

Both models in the Shadow 38 range feature what BRABUS describes as meticulous German build quality, along with a range of luxury and performance-focused design elements. These include premium marine upholstery, exposed carbon-fibre elements, premium navigation equipment and twin Simrad multifunction displays.

Like their Axopar counterparts, the boats are highly configurable, making them suitable for high-speed cruising, watersports, outdoor entertaining and overnight trips.

BRABUS presented the Shadow 38 range at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will showcase the 1000 XC Cross Cabin at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 21-26, 2026. Australian availability and pricing are yet to be revealed.
