The Technomar for Lamborghini 63, a 4000hp, 20-metre luxury sports yacht built for those who like to live life in the fast lane, has arrived in Australia.
Images show the Technomar for Lamborghini 63 being unloaded at Darling Harbour, although its final destination is unknown. However, the motor yacht’s maker, The Italian Sea Group, said an unnamed Melbourne-based Lamborghini dealership “will guarantee an efficient and specialised after-sales service to ensure the best support for even the most demanding owners”.
The sports yacht has already been photographed against Sydney icons including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the opera house. The boat appears to wear the name "Stealth".
“We are very proud of the success that Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is enjoying in the Pacific,” The Italian Sea Group chief executive Giovanni Costantino said.
“[This is] an area that offers interesting growth opportunities for all the group’s brands in line with our international development strategy.
“The commercial success of this project and the partnership with Automobili Lamborghini continues, so much so that the next sales will be delivered in the second half of 2024.”
Yep. That hints that more builds of the limited-edition boats – only 63 will be made – are likely to head here.
Boatsales has reached out to Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group for comment. it is not yet known if the boat will be on display at August's 2023 Sydney International Boat Show.
Built by The Italian Sea Group, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is based on the design of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, a $5.2 million limited-edition, 602kW V12-engined hybrid supercar.
The Technomar for Lamborghini 63 is a 24-tonne, 4000hp twin-engined performance motor yacht capable of cruising at 41 knots, a speed that few 20-metre boats would count as their top speed.
Wind on the throttle and the top speed for the Technomar for Lamborghini 63 is rated at 60 knots, although while commissioning the Australian delivery, Sydney-based engineering, service and maintenance specialists Onboard Engineering wound that out to 63 knots.
The sports yacht’s design follows several design cues built into the road-going hypercar, right down to the Lamborghini tail lights that sit on each side of the aft coamings and the sports seats behind the console.
Powering the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is a pair of 2000hp MAN V12 engines that officially make this model the fastest in the Technomar fleet of boats.
While its 24,000kg displacement sounds like a lot, it could have been much more and is probably half the weight you’d expect of an equivalent-size sports cruiser.
It’s because the Technomar for Lamborghini 63's hull is made using fibreglass set under a vacuum to make it lighter and stronger than more traditional boatbuilding methods, while the boat’s upper structure uses carbon fibre, just like the car on which the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is based, to shed mass and lower the centre of gravity.
The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is classed as an ultralight superyacht, with its lighter displacement helping it to hit that impressive top speed.
The boat’s interior is a collaboration between the shipyard’s and supercar maker’s design studios, while the cantilever coupe roof is inspired by Lamborghini’s historic roadsters.
That said, buyers can tap Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalisation program that allows them to customize the yacht to their exact specifications.
This includes the ability to change various material colours and other elements. The Australian-delivered boat is the first hull to be finished in the colour Grigio Acheso, a matte-look grey.
No pricing has been announced for the Technomar for Lamborghini 63.
