The Beneteau Flyer 10 will have its global debut at the 2019 Dusseldorf boat show, adding a flagship bowrider that includes enough home comforts to anchor up for a couple of nights.
Following hot on the heels of the Flyer 8 dayboat, the 700hp-capable, square-nosed Flyer 10 will carry a skipper and up to 10 passengers in comfort, and includes three sun lounges in the bow accessed by an asymmetric portside walkway, and a vast entertaining space in the cockpit protected by a full-beam, wrap-around windscreen.
“For a boat this size, the Flyer 10 is extremely comfortable both on and below deck. It is worth noting the foot rest seats in the cockpit, as well as an aft bench that folds back instantly to create a vast sunbathing area overlooking the swim platform,” beneteau said.
“The galley on the starboard is fully equipped so that you can cook real meals while enjoying life aboard.”
That life aboard extends to the helm, where up to four people can recline in comfort protected by the windscreen while the Flyer 10 is under way.
The aft island table in the L-shaped lounge just forward of the swim deck will also drop down to form a large sunbed when it isn’t needed for entertaining.
“With two double berths and a real shower room, with the head separate from the shower, the Flyer 10 combines comfort with living space harmoniously,” Beneteau said.
“It is a joy to spend a few relaxing nights aboard. The central and mid-cabin are well lit by long hull windows. The big storage cabinet at the bottom of the stairway can be fitted out in a variety of ways.”
Power will come from a pair of outboards up to a maximum of 350hp each. Combined with the Airstep 2 hull, this is enough to lift off the Flyer 10 “in just a few seconds” on the way to a top speed of more than 40 knots.
The Dusseldorf boat show kicks off on January 19. The show will include the global reveal of the Nimbus Weekender 9, another dayboat that has transformed into an overnighter “optimised for convivial trips” for up to four people.
