2022 Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer readies for Sanctuary Cove debut

The Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer will be one of the star attractions of the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Alexander Marine Australia is making final preparations ahead of the global launch of the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer at next month’s 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

The newest member of Ocean Alexander’s Explorer series is a direct replacement for the Ocean Alexander 27E which launched the new line of long-range luxury motor yachts.

However, for the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer, the Taiwanese luxury motor yacht maker has reprofiled the saloon to create much more interior space and give the new model more all-weather ability.

Of note, the redesign keeps the large hydraulic platform aft that has enough space to stow a pair of jet skis side-by-side.

The Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer keeps the same large saloon as before, but it now extends further forward to allow space for a forward deck-level master stateroom using the full internal beam.

This creates a private space for the boat’s owners that includes expansive views forward and abeam via large frameless windows that create a large natural light-filled space.

Up on the flybridge deck, guests are treated to 360-degree vistas in the forward enclosed section, while the expansive aft open section includes a four-person jacuzzi enclosed in a large lounge space.

Alexander Marine Australia dealer principal and director Todd Holzapfel says the cruising waters around Australia and New Zealand provide some of the most beautiful yet often challenging sea conditions anywhere in the world.

“Ocean Alexander yachts provide for amazing comfort and safety in our often challenging sea state conditions,” Holzapfel says.

"The team here at Alexander Marine Australia is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the world-debut Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer to our shores. She will be the ultimate vessel for exploring oceans with family and friends.”

Ocean Alexander says the 28 Explorer will be a yacht “made for those who seek adventure and excitement”.

“There is an abundance of space to bring everything that is needed to customize an activity-filled getaway,” it says.

“The interiors are thoughtfully designed for long stays on board. An impressive master stateroom with feature-rich amenities and the luxurious finishes you have come to expect from the craftsmen at Ocean Alexander.

“Phenomenal views from the generous use of floor-to-ceiling windows, the 28E is an ideal craft for socialising and entertaining with family and friends.

“This extraordinary yacht is designed for exploring on those long journeys to the most exotic locales.”

The 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the southern hemisphere’s premier boating showcase, will run from May 19-22.
