Sydney’s premier on-water festival, the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show, kicks off next month with a number of stunning reveals already locked in.
The show’s headliner will be the reveal of the stunning Riviera 545 SUV, an all-new motor yacht designed and built on the Gold Coast and set to woo buyers the world over.
“A grand tourer in every shimmering sense, this yacht shares the brilliant bluewater hull, expansive open cockpit and accommodation plan of Riviera’s newly launched 54 Enclosed Flybridge in concert with a free-flowing, easy-living saloon that’s tailor-made for entertaining,” Riviera said.
The Riviera 545 SUV will join Platinum Edition versions of the 4800 Sport Yacht, 5400 Sport Yacht and 6000 Sport Yacht revealed at June’s 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. The luxury yacht maker will also have its newly launched Riviera 54 Enclosed Flybridge, also shown at Sanctuary Cove, on display.
Maritimo will introduce the all-new 2019 Maritimo X50 motor yacht to Sydney show-goers for the first time in the wake of its Sanctuary Cove global reveal.
Joining the X50 will be the updated versions of Maritimo’s other strong performers, the M51 and M59 flybridge motor yachts. Changes include redesigned windows for the master cabin, an ensuite for the forward VIP cabin, and new wood and lighting packages, as well as a more sports-focused console for the helm. It will also have the X50’s predecessor, the Maritimo X60, on the water.
Alexander Marine Australia will have the Ocean Alexander 88 Skylounge on display. This 40th-anniversary limited edition has similar accommodation to the four-stateroom, two-crew cabin layout of the Ocean Alexander 85 on which the 88 is based.
However, it brings a larger galley and forward settee lounge area, as well as the namesake Skylounge – a glass-enclosed all-weather living and entertaining salon that increases living space on board by around 20 per cent.
Galeon Yachts will also have a presence at Sydney, showing the Galeon 460 Sky flybridge cruiser, and the larger, grander Galeon 510 Skydeck with its coupe-styled flybridge.
Both were launched at the recent Sanctuary Cove show.
Whitehaven Motor Yachts will have the spectacular looking peacock blue-hulled Harbour Classic 40, and the Whitehaven 6100 Coupe featuring a new Euro Edition makeover.
Both are also fresh from a Sanctuary Cove debut.
Over at Integrity Motor Yachts, the luxury brand is preparing for what it says is the official world release of the new Integrity SX trawler-style cruising yacht range.
Boats on show will include the Integrity 380 SX Serenity and the Integrity 340 SX.
Eyachts, the broker representing Greenline, the European motor yacht maker just as happy to power its boats using electricity as it does traditional fossil fuels, is expected to expand on the Greenline Neo Coupe it showed at Sanctuary Cove.
Complementing the enclosed saloon version at Sydney is likely to be a Hard Top edition – there’s no word yet on whether the Open version, featuring a low, wrap-around windscreen, is ripe for the Australian market.
Horizon Yachts Australia will be turning up to Sydney with just a Horizon E75 in tow. It did have one of the new Horizon FD77s on display in Sanctuary Cove, but sold the sharp-looking, Euro-chic motor yacht – along with three other display boats it had brought along – at the show.
The good news is that the distributor will have four more new boats, including the Horizon FD77, here within the next 12 months.
European fishing boats specialist Arvor will feature the Arvour 605 Sportfish at the 2019 Sydney International Boat Show.
Made for offshore work, the wheelhouse-style 5.75-metre Arvor 605 Sportfish features sea-height transom access via a hinged gate, a walkaround deck, and the option of a powered anchor winch that helps with moving fishing spots fast.
Standard fit-out includes four cockpit and two transom rod holders and storage for 6 rods, a lockable storage area for fishing equipment, transom bait preparation station, pump-out fish locker, and a cockpit raw water wash-down.
Below, there are comfortable berths for two people.
Other Arvor boats on show will include the 555 Sportsfish, 675 Sportsfish, 755 Sportsfish, 905 Sportsfish and 755 Weekender.
Australian aluminium plate boat brand Yellowfin Plate will have a range of its new products on display. Sydney will show the best of a major makeover for the brand, which now includes a new centre cabin model for the range, a new folding hardtop, and the range-topping Southerner series.
Yellowfin Plate will be represented on the floor by TR Marine and Hunts Marine.
After revealing two of the new Fishabout Pro models in Melbourne, Stabler will have another variant – the Quintrex 430 Fishabout Pro – on display in Sydney.
The Quintrex 430 Fishabout Pro will have all the features of the upgraded models on show, including a new transom design, better access to the anchor well, and more beam to make the boats roomer in the cockpit.
With fresh, new owners at the helm, US fibreglass fishing boat specialist NauticStar has indicated Australia could one day shape up to be its most important outside of North America.
Sydney will host a soft relaunch of the brand here, with new distributors stepping in. The brands says it will have four of its best-selling boats on display at the show.
The Sydney International Boat Show runs from Thursday, August 1 to Sunday, August 5 at the ICC Sydney and the nearby on-water display at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour.
Tickets – available online – are $22 for adults, $20 for senior concession holders, $16 for pensioners and $13 for children aged six to 17 years.
A family ticket for two adults and three children is $49, while a two-day pass is $30 and a three-day pass costs $40.
