One of Australia's pre-eminent charter operators, Zulu Gamefishing and Levante Fishing Charters is in expansion mode after a highly successful 2015 first season operating out of Port Douglas, Far North Queensland.
Zulu won the prestigious 2015 Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic in its first season since being launched in late 2014, whereupon the boat clocked up a whopping 1200 hours on the engines, many in reverse chasing giant black marlin on the outer Ribbon Reefs.
Beluga is a 114ft luxurious expedition and soon-to-be mother ship which has spent the last 12 months cruising the world’s oceans, including the Maldives, the Red Sea and Monaco. The 34.70m Moonen 114 Explorer motoryacht was built in 2006 by Moonen Shipyards.
Beluga offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in five suites comprising three double cabins, two twin cabins, and two pullman cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to six crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Beluga will be available as a mother ship to the Zulu and Levante game boats as well as offering luxurious live-aboard trips for whatever the heart desires – diving, exploration trips, snorkelling, cruising, and fishing. Itineraries to be released soon
Another exciting addition is a brand-new 40ft Assegai Express, the first Express boat we know from the master craftsman and boatbuilder Barry Martin. As you can see from the pics above, the boat is in build at Assegai Marine on the Gold Coast and due to splash in late 2016. Watch this space!
The Express will travel primarily with Beluga as a fishing, diving and recreational platform and will have the ability to transfer guests quickly and efficiently between vessels. Private charters start from $2500 per day. However trips are customised to suit requests.
More information on mother shipping options for the 2016 Black Marlin season have just been released. See Levante Charters and
