Aimed at the traditional Australian tinnie market, Yamaha's 30hp four-stroke range has been updated for 2009.
Available in forward control and tiller steer versions, the new F30BEHTL and F30BETL feature electric turn-key start (E), power trim and tilt (T) and a 20 inch shaft length (L).
Yamaha claims that the low profile design and "excellent power-to-weight ratio" delivers optimum power for aluminium boats, RIBs and bigger boaters seeking "dependable auxiliary power".
The engines feature computer-controlled multi-point electronic fuel-injection and forward control models accept Yamaha's optional advanced digital network gauges. For tiller steer models, the F30B has all the functions at your finger tips, including a trolling switch which allows the trolling speed to be adjusted between 650-900 rpm in 50rpm increments.
The Yamaha F30B exceeds the 2006 USA EPA exhaust emission standards and meets the US CARB emission standards and EU marine exhaust emission regulations, says Yamaha.
The engines' YDIS (Yamaha Diagnostic System) helps technicians determine performance "for quick and precise service work".
Like all Yamaha four-stroke outboards, the new F30Bs are supported with a full four-year manufacturer's warranty. More information at yamaha-motor.com.au
