Yamaha's new F25 is the lightest and it has fuel injection

A refined 25hp four-stroke outboard with 25 per cent less weight and a clever fuel injection system

Good news for the boating masses running open tinnies, dories, RIBS and tenders in the 3.0-4.0m class — Yamaha has a new lightweight four-stroke 25hp outboard engine with big weight savings, two-stroke like punch, a 'battery-less' electronic fuel injection system, even CommandLink connectivity if you want to run an LCD dash gauge. Oh, and power trim and tilt options.

The all-new lightweight F25 EFI is around 25 per cent lighter than its
predecessor and has been developed from the ground up to exceed the
performance and features of Yamaha’s 25hp two-stroke outboard — a
benchmark of reliability in the class — while also improving on the outgoing F25
four-stroke's performance.

The optimised powerhead design and refinement of the transom bracket and drive are credited with creating what Yamaha claims is the lightest model in the 25 horsepower four-stroke class. The new F25 weighs 20kg less than the previous generation F25 four-stroke!

EFI WITHOUT A BATTERY
The battery-less Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) is an exciting new
feature designed for easy starting performance and one-handed cranks
from a seated position.

Acceleration is said to be a highlight when you
twist or advance the throttle, while the fuel injection also gives efficiency and
new levels of economy to help maintain an affordable power-boating solution and you fish, cruise and even tow the kids.

Yamaha says the performance of the new F25 rivals any two-stroke 25hp outboard engine, while the new generation motor adds all the advantages of the latest generation four-stroke technology.

TOP FEATURES
The new F25 comes packed with features and capability previously only available on Yamaha’s larger models.

Yamaha’s variable trolling switch comes standard, allowing adjustment of the trolling engine speed in increments of 50rpm anywhere from 750rpm to 1050rpm.

This terrific variable trolling feature allows anglers to fine tune their lure presentation whether chasing mackerel at a fast clip or working big slow deep divers for barra or cod.

The F25 is also compatible with Yamaha’s comprehensive range of Command Link digital gauges including both the back-lit LCD and premium full colour displays.

The engine is NMEA2000 compatible so you can share information with third party multi-function displays, GPS and fish finders.

For added piece of mind at the ramp, dock or on the trailer the new F25, electric start models, have the option of being fitted with Yamaha’s exclusive YCOP immobiliser.

Using a remote transmitter similar to a modern car you can "dock it and lock it" at the boat ramp, pontoon or even on the trailer to avoid unauthorised start-ups.

TILLER, START OPTIONS AND SHAFT LENGTHS
The all new F25 will be available in a range of configurations to satisfy varying use. The iterations include manual start tiller handle, electric start forward control, and electric start forward control with power trim and tilt.

This is great news for the many cruiser owners in the 45-65ft class who have RIB centre or side console tenders, a dash with scope to fit an LCD screen, a battery for their nav. lights and now power trim and tilt to optimise performance when carrying crew on the plane.

Additional kits are available for boaters who desire tiller handle operation with electric start. The F25 will be available in both 15 and 20-inch transom lengths.

Available F25 models: F25SMHC and F25LMHC (both with electric start option), F25LMHC, F25SWC and F25LC
