The Cruiser 55, the largest yacht in the Bavaria range designed by Farr Yacht Design and BMW Designworks USA for the German manufacturer, will make its Australian debut at the Sydney boat show alongside its very successful siblings the Cruiser 45 and the Cruiser 32.
A large yacht by anyone's standards, the Bavaria Cruiser 55 delivers an exceptional standard of luxury for a production yacht and can be delivered in either three, four or five cabin versions. While the three cabin "owner's version" has the most open arrangement, all the models feature a spacious saloon where eight people can comfortably sit around the dining table.
The large galley has a central island and a full sized fridge/freezer that will cater for the largest crowd or cruising party.
With headroom of 2.06 meters throughout and a light and airy interior, the Cruiser 55 will never feel cramped. The owner's version features a forward master stateroom with a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with a separate shower room.
Bavaria Yachts has invested over 50 million Euros in its design and manufacturing processes, producing the highest standard of production yachts at very competitive prices.
Although a large yacht, the Bavaria Cruiser 55 has proven to be perfectly balanced and effortless to handle in sea trials. She is quick in every wind strength from a breeze upward. Acceleration is fast and the yacht responds quickly to her twin rudders. Sailing upwind, she has recorded 8.5 knots in 14 knots of wind at an angle of 35 degrees.
This is sure to appeal to the cruiser/racers who want a yacht they can race seriously on Saturday and take out family and friends on Sunday.
For the Sydney show the Bavaria Cruiser 55 will be available at a sailaway price of $597,176 including GST.
