Some of the world’s fastest boats are about to come to Australia, packing high-horsepower punches in luxury-laden packages guaranteed to drop jaws on the water.
The newly formed Australian Day Boat Specialists will use next week’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to announce it will bring some of the world’s most exclusive high-speed day boats that can head out to a favourite anchorage by lunch time, and be back in the marina before dinner.
The boats that ADBS will chase for Australian buyers will include luxury fishing specialist Scout – one boat expected to be on offer is the six-engined, 2400hp Scout 530 LXF that dropped at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – and other high-performance US brands including Donzi cigarette boats, Fountain offshore fishing craft, and Baja performance cruisers.
It will also tap Europe for boats from brands including Italian speed boat-builder Comitti and bespoke rigid inflatables from France’s ProMarine.
But there will also be an Australian flavour, with NSW-based racing-hardened performance centre console, cabin and bowrider brand Force Boats jumping on board.
“The resurgence of day boats continues to grow rapidly across America and Europe, with Australia hot on the heels of that growth,” ADBS said.
“With our amazing climate being very suitable to day boats and people becoming more time
poor, a luxury day boat with full amenities is a highly practical, easy and very comfortable option.”
It means ADBS will stock boats ranging in length from 20 to 60 feet, with anywhere between one and six engines powering them and speeds ranging up to 90 knots.
“The ADBS team includes offshore powerboat champions, professional skippers and luxury sports boats leaders, they will be able to give clients their specialist knowledge in all things day boats,” the company said.
More information about Australian Day Boat Specialists is expected to be released at the 2019 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, which opens on Thursday, May 23 and runs until Sunday, May 26.
