The third annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo from November 1-3 marks the world release of the new models from Clipper Motor Yachts, Alaska, Quintrex, Integrity Motor Yachts and Stefan Boating World to name a few.
The not-for-profit, action-packed, family-friendly event also offers a unique behind-the-scenes view of our diverse marine industry. Dubbed 'the working boat show,' the Expo has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2011.
Gold Coast International Marine Expo spokeswoman Emma Milne said it was pleasing to see so many international marine brands launching their new products at the Expo.
“This year the Expo will stage more than 20 new product releases, including the Southern Hemisphere release of the Lipari 41 Evolution and Catana 59 from Multihull Solutions, the Australian release of Xenta from Aquamare Marine, Honwave Inflatables from Honda Australia, Silentwind Wind Generator, Dustless Blasting from Bradford Marine, and the Jet Ski Dock from Pacific Pontoon & Pier,” Ms Milne said.
boatsales.com.au and BoatPoint.com.au will have Sea-Doo's new Spark on show, with the chance to win one of three of the exciting new watercraft.
After two years on the drawing board, Clipper will launch a-new range of lobster style sedan cruisers, the Hudson Bay series, in 28ft, 34ft and 39ft models.
Alaska Motor Yachts’ new flagship 59 Sedan -- designed with local knowledge for coastal cruising, family flings and entertaining -- offers four cabins, high-sided walkaround decks, open-plan integration of the helm, galley, dining and saloon areas, and everything you need for onboard entertaining. The 59 is the first Alaska to feature Wesmar Hydraulic Stabilisers as standard equipment to assure comfort and safety at sea.
Quintrex’s new innovative Blade Hull uses stretch-forming technology and the fine-tuned combination of convex and concave shapes to cut through choppy water like the proverbial knife while deflecting spray. Quintrex says it is it most advanced hull design ever.
The new Integrity 440 Sedan is said to offer great lateral stability from a generous beam that also allows for wide walkaround side decks for safety without impacting on the internal space. The raised foredeck leads to very comfortable accommodation featuring two spacious cabins with full queen-size beds and high headroom. An additional two couples can sleep in the fully enclosed cockpit and atop the saloon dinette.
Stefan Boating World will launch a range of boats to suit every bent and budget, including the Smartliner for anglers, Razer Cat for jet skiers, Karnic for leisure boating, The Clear Bottom for reef watching and The Gladiator for the adventurer all at the Expo. Stefan will also announce his new relationship as a franchise of a major outboard company.
The latest new model to arrive in Australia from Multihull Solutions, the Catana 59, will have her Southern Hemisphere release at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo. Featuring a sleek and minimalist design with single level cockpit and saloon, multipurpose extendable lounge, and truly unique living zones, the Catana 59 is said to boast an incredible amount of space.
Honda Australia’s Honwave Inflatable, which has been designed for use with Honda’s range of lightweight and fuel-efficient portable outboard engines. Manufactured from premium-quality PVC, the Honwave range encompasses models spanning 2-3m in length packaged with Honda outboards from the BF2.3 to the BF15.
At the luxury end of cruising, the Queensland premiere of the new Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge, which features three cabins, two bathrooms and a Euro-style interior, heralds a new era for Riv'.
Riviera will also unveil the very latest addition to its SUV Collection, the new 515 SUV, with a full interior display of this exciting new vessel on show for the very first time ahead of her world release at the 2014 Riviera Festival of Boating in May.
“Other Queensland premieres include the Brig Eagle 480 from Sirocco Marine North, Bayliner Element from C Worthy Marine, and Algaefree, to name but a few of the exciting new product releases at the Expo.”
The new Bayliner Element is a simple, straightforward multi-purpose boat. The hull has been specifically designed for this particular model and is based on an “M” shape that keeps the boat stable and allows for flat safe turns, something research suggested boaters were conscious of out on the water. Powered by a 60hp Mercury outboard, the Element has all the power you need for cruising, watersports or simply getting out and about.
“Everything from kayaks to superyachts, fishing equipment to jet skis and everything else in between will be on show over a three kilometre display circuit, with live attractions and demonstrations taking place every 15 minutes. The Expo will definitely be an interactive and memorable event for everyone," Ms Milne says, adding that the family entertainment is a huge part of the event.
This year’s Expo is set to break all its previous records with more marine brands on display, more boats, more new product releases, more attractions and entertainment, and more local and international visitors through the gates during the three-day Expo. A gold-coin donation is requested upon entry and there's free on-site parking.
