Italian vermouth maker Martini, in partnership with F1 race team Williams, have unveiled the official Vector Martini Racing powerboat to coincide with last weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.
Last seen in competitive powerboat racing nearly 20 years ago, the legendary Martini stripes will once again be featured on the new Vector V40R powerboat.
The official drivers for the Williams Martini Racing Formula 1 team, Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, got a test of the thrills and exhilaration of the Vector V40R powerboat ahead of their Monaco race last Sunday.
On the terra firma F1 track, Finnish driver Bottas and Brazilian-born Massa had mixed results at Monaco with Massa coming seventh and Bottas failing to finish with mechanical problems. This gives the team an overall position of sixth in the Manufacturers' Championship.
Check out the video below and hear the exclusive interviews with both drivers discussing their thoughts on the then upcoming F1 race and how driving the Vector Martini Racing Boat compares to the Williams Martini F1 car.
