Whittley Marine Group has announced the introduction of a another new Whittley Sea Legend model for this year's Melbourne Boat Show.
The new SL 28 will be the largest legally trailerable (without permits or daylight restrictions) fibreglass boat on display at this year's Melbourne Boat Show. And Whittley says it will be one of the true stand outs at the show.
Victorian Whittley dealer, Marine Max, will feature over 20 models, across the Clearwater and Whittley brands. The new SL 28, will add to a three-strong SL range on the Marine Max stand at the show.
Whittley's sales and marketing Manager, Alan Whittley said: "We are very excited to announce that Marine Max will feature the largest range of Whittley Boats, at the Melbourne Boat Show in over twenty years, with over 20 boats on display. The Marine Max stand, will also feature the largest display of a single brand at this years show, with a complete range of Whittley Boats on display.
"It is also very exciting for our company to feature the largest legally trailerable GRP boat at the show. Victoria has been the home of Whittley for 60 years and it is exciting to see the brand strengthening and continuing to grow and expand in our home state."
The SL 28 has been designed to increase the ability to cater for longer periods on the water in luxury, with a fully-enclosed head, full-length berths, comfortable sitting headroom and a galley with built-in-fridge and stove.
This means fishermen now have a bigger, larger fishing boat with an increased ability to chase the bigger fish off shore.
Mr Whittley said that the new boat will appeal to game fishermen who do not want to commit to a larger moored boat, but want the flexibility to target offshore fish, and still be able to trailer the boat home.
The new SL 28, is factory fitted, with a high quality Mackay boat trailer and powered by a V8 380hp Volvo Penta stern drive. Whittley has also optioned the package up to suit Volvo's range of diesel options, which include the D3 and D4 power plants.
The new Whittley SL 28 model, will complement another new Sea Legend model, the SL 24 HT, which will also be released at the Melbourne Boat Show.
