Whittley Marine Group, Australia’s largest trailerable fibreglass boat maker, has struck a deal to fit Simrad multifunction chartplotters and fishfinders and Fathom lithium-ion battery systems across its range.
The partnership will result in boats being fitted out with Simrad’s NSOevo3S and NSSevo3S range, and NSX widescreen multifunction screens at the helm, giving full integration with the Mercury outboard engines powering them.
The boats will also tap into the Fathom e-power system featuring ReLiON lithium-ion battery technology that can replace the need for an onboard genset, the CZone digital switching system that can automatically balance the boat’s power needs at the push of a button, as well as Mastervolt recharging systems.
The Fathom system is plug-and-play meaning components added to the system over time are built to work seamlessly with the entire electronics system as soon as they are plugged in.
Whittley Marine Group chief executive Alan Whittley said the boatmaker was thrilled to partner with Navico Group, a company that shared its vision for innovation and excellence in the boating industry.
“This partnership not only signifies a leap forward in boat manufacturing but also ensures our customers receive the best possible on-water experience with state-of-the-art technology at their fingertips,” Whittley said.
Jarrod Sagar, Navico Group’s APAC president, said the group was pleased to pair its technology with a premium boatmaker such as Whittley.
“Through our broad portfolio of industry-leading brands, Navico Group is uniquely positioned to offer Whittley customers unprecedented benefits through our integrated systems and technology that will significantly enhance the boating experience,” Sagar said.
Whittley makes a range of boats including Fish Finder coastal and Sea Legend offshore fishing models, Sports Cruiser weekenders, and an XS 2000 bowrider.
Larger models, which are still trailerable, have the option of Volvo Penta sterndrives in place of the outboard engines.
