The new Whitehaven Harbour Classic 52 will make its Australian debut in November.
Construction is already underway on the vessel, which builds on the success of the Harbour Classic 40 launched in 2024.
Whitehaven claims the HC52 is “light years” ahead of its competitors, offering extended entertaining zones and deck spaces, a mid-level galley with switch-glass (photoelectric) separation, generous refrigeration and storage, and designer-quality finishes throughout.
Accommodation includes two spacious cabins — a master suite and a VIP room with a versatile “scissor queen bed” — each with large ensuites.
A fully integrated tender garage accommodates a 2.4m RIB with outboard, which Whitehaven describes as a “new benchmark” for the category. A push-button launch and retrieval system is designed to quickly deploy the tender for guest transfers, provisioning, or shore visits.
Inside, the HC52 incorporates superyacht-inspired touches such as discrete Venturi air-conditioning vents, expansive glazing, electric skylights, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. An ergonomic dash, leather chairs, and a sophisticated nav package draw inspiration from the automotive world.
Power comes from twin Scania DI16 V8 engines, each producing a claimed 800hp (588kW). Whitehaven says there is ample room in the engine bay for optional extras such as a watermaker, stabiliser, or other owner-specified equipment.
The HC52 carries 2600L of fuel, 800L of water, and a 300L holding tank. It sleeps six and measures 17.23m overall, including its 1.2m swim platform.
Whitehaven Director Bruce Scott said the move to build a larger version of the Harbour Classic came directly from customer demand.
“Feedback from Harbour Classic owners and our Whitehaven network identified a niche for a larger iteration of this premium motor yacht,” he said.
“The Harbour Classic 52 will appeal to people seeking the freedom and exhilaration of short-notice adventure.”
