Whitehaven will have a new generation of its Harbour Classic 40 at the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show featuring a galley-up layout and a fully opening glass cockpit bulkhead.
The show will mark the world premiere of the 12.9-metre motor yacht’s new design featuring a retro-styled exterior form wrapped around a modern, luxurious interior.
The boat on display at Sanctuary Cove will feature a single 480hp inline six-cylinder Cummins diesel engine instead of the default Volvo penta powerplant and a custom hull colour chosen by its south Sydney-based owners.
This model, though, features a folding glass bulkhead fronting the cockpit instead of a glass door beside an awning window. The glass bulkhead allows the cockpit to seamlessly integrate with the saloon space.
The Alexandra Marine display will also include a display of the new Harbour Classic 52 which is expected to make its first deliveries in mid-next year.
The new 17.2-metre Harbour Classic 52 is inspired by what Whitehaven says are “vintage automotive aesthetics”, and features a clean, understated design highlighted with subtle wood detailing.
The new model, optimised for extended stays onboard, is expected to be powered using twin 800hp Scania Di13 engines turning ZF gearboxes, with onboard accommodations for up to six people across three cabins.
The 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show runs from May 23-26.
