Whitehaven Flybridge 6000 and 7000, Sports Yacht 7000 revealed

Whitehaven uses the 2021 Sanctuary Cove International Boast Show to usher in three new models

Australian-designed blue water cruiser maker Whitehaven has announced three upgraded and new models that it will add to its line-up from 2022, including a flagship new sports yacht.

The new models include significant updates to the Whitehaven Flybridge 6000 and 7000 models, and a new addition to the range – the Whitehaven Sports Yacht 7000, a single-level sedan-styled motor yacht.

Whitehaven said the upgrades were a collaboration with Misha Merzliakov Yacht Design – the designer has already shaped the Whitehaven 6100 Euro for the brand – and would “elevate the yachts to a superlative level of luxury”.

“After some inspiring ideas from a long-term Whitehaven customer, the new concept for the Flybridge 7000 includes an exterior design upgrade and expansion of the beam to 19 feet for more onboard amenity, “ Whitehaven said in a statement announcing the new models.

“Yet the largest change is the layout of the main saloon and accommodation suites below deck to reflect current market trends.

“Similarly, the Flybridge 6000 has an exterior styling upgrade plus subtle yet important changes to the internal arrangement.

“They are changes, which will only add to the award-nominated design and most popular Whitehaven model.”

Whitehaven said the new-look Flybridge 6000 and 7000 models kept the “signature” mezzanine decks linking the saloon to the alfresco cockpit, creating enough space below for a tender garage that opened up onto the motor yacht’s swim deck.

Meanwhile, the new Sports Yacht 7000 is based on the current Whitehaven 6500, with the first build due off the production line in September.

According to Whitehaven, the Sports Yacht 7000 will combine the styling and prowess of a semi-displacement motor yacht with long-range cruising capability.

Below decks are three accommodation suites with a full-beam master suite amidships.

“The main deck has a high helm position for superior visibility and expansive windows for panoramic views,” Whitehaven said.

“The saloon, galley and aft cockpit integrate flawlessly making it one of the most ideal yachts for entertaining on the market, whilst the multifunctional foredeck offers a perfect seating location for sunset cocktails or lounging on the sunbed.”

Whitehaven managing director Bruce Scott said Whitehaven had used its time during the COVID-19 pandemic to review its most popular motor yachts and give them a refresh.

“We were fortunate to have the inspiration from a current owner as well as the expertise of Misha Merzliakov and we are bringing to Sanctuary Cove concepts, which are modern, bold, exciting and intuitive,” Scott said.

“Additionally, all of these new concepts can be delivered by summer of 2022 so you don’t have to wait too long for a classic motor yacht from Whitehaven.”
