White Bay 6 Marine Park, an exciting new boat-storage facility with hardstand, dry stack and trailerboat parking, is due to open in early May.
Located alongside the Anzac Bridge, not far from the Sydney CBD, White Bay 6 Marine Park is the first major marine project to be developed on Sydney Harbour since the Minister for Roads and Ports, Duncan Gay, announced the establishment of the Maritime Advisory Council.
The council's charter was to develop good policy to help solve a range of issues confronting Sydney boaters, including the lack of boat storage.
A recent report released by the Marina Industries Association of Australia found demand for boat storage in Australia now outstrips supply.
Another report entitled NSW Boat Ownership and Storage: Growth Forecasts to 2026, published in July 2010, predicts the number of registered boats in NSW will grow significantly over the coming years. White Bay 6 Marine Park will help accommodate that growth.
While a number of Sydney local councils look to ban trailer parking in suburban streets, White Bay 6 Marine Park will offer safe and secure storage for trailerable boats of all sizes, as well as extensive on-site parking facilities with quick freeway access.
The new amenity has easy deep-water access, hardstand and dry-stack storage, boat lift, and a complete range of maintenance and services for pleasure boats up to 80 feet.
The recently opened refuelling facility called Baileys Marine White Bay 6, which has some of the best-priced fuel on the harbour, is located right alongside.
White Bay 6 Marine Park is the brainchild of Brett and Alan McMullen, former owners of Ferguson’s Boatshed at The Spit, and Guy Bailey, the co-founder of national marine fuel supply company Baileys Marine
Opening in early May, White Bay 6 Marine Park is located in the centre of Sydney Harbour, just west of the Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour, and north of the ANZAC Bridge in Pyrmont.
There is plenty of secure onsite parking with immediate access to all of the major arterial roads, offering quick and hassle free travel to Sydney's suburbs.
