Vision Yachts is launching a 19m luxury power catamaran on the world market at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on May 18 - 21. Designed by Scott Jutson, the model is the first for the luxury pleasure market by the Mackay based manufacturer. The company has 30 years experience in commercial vessel manufacturer, specializing in fishing trawlers.
UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship - Ten boats, five revised driver line-ups, new rulings and some pent up emotions provides the mix for what promises to be a dramatic start to the 2006 season in Doha.

Weipa Fishing Report - The 2006 season started very well with both the estuaries and offshore firing up to produce some great fishing. A highlight was the landing of three big black jewfish all over one metre in length, the best measuring an impressive 127cm (20 kilos plus).
The world's biggest cruise ship, the Freedom of the Seas, has drawn a crowd of thousands in Hamburg ahead of its maiden transatlantic voyage departing April 25. The crew had to carry out a tricky manoeuvre, as the ship's berth was only three metres wider and 12 metres longer than the ship. The 160,000-ton ship is 339 metres long, 56 metres wide, and boasts the world's first on-board surfing pool, a skating rink and a rock-climbing wall.

The Marina Association of Australia ran a successful Intermediate Marina Managers Course in late March in Sydney, with a total of 22 students from New Zealand and all mainland states in Australia.
