New 100ft motor launch to be launched on Gold Coast, Classic Wooden Boat Festival, end of summer clearance sale at boat show and more

POWERBOATS & FISHING
Azzura's 100ft (34.8m) new motor launch, Cambria II will be launched at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. The classic 1930s traditional design resembles a gentleman's cruiser. It contains mahogany finishes and state of the art electronics. The custom built vessel is made for the Australian market for private and charter use. It features an owner's stateroom, two guest cabins, a child's cabin and crew cabins with a capacity to sleep 14. The vessel, valued at $A12 million, follows the success of the 100ft Oscar.

Mercury's revolutionary Enertia Propeller offers increased efficiency due to its advanced design. Thinner blades and higher rake angles equate to better handling, improved acceleration and greater top speed.

Brunswick Asia Pacific Group are distributing Sea Pro's selection of Walk Around, Centre Console and Dual Console boats throughout Australia and New Zealand. US built Sea Pro boats are built tough and safe to handle our harsh offshore conditions.

NEWS BRIEFS
NSW Maritime Medals recognise exceptional contributions to the boating and maritime community in the categories of Safety, Environment and Community. Nominations for the awards close June 30.

MARINE INDUSTRY
Bill Barry-Cotter, founder of Riviera Marine and owner of Maritimo, told the Queensland Courier-Mail that Australia's free trade agreement with the US has allowed an influx of cheaply priced American boats that have essentially cannibalised the domestic industry.

Queensland-based distributor of marine industrial materials, MarineWare, announces the opening of their first Sydney outlet, managed by Mark Swadling.

Peter Massina joins Mercury Remanufacturing, a division of Brunswick Asia Pacific Group offering a complete range of remanufactured power heads, gear cases, drive units, long blocks, starter motors, alternators and power trim components.

Mar 17 - 19 -- Rosehill Gardens Boat Show, James Ruse Drive, Rose Hill, Sydney. End of summer clearance sale. Anglers learn the latest casting techniques and lure use via the fabulous 'Supertank' . On-site licence testing for boats and PWCs. Boating Industry Association of NSW
