SAIL & POWER EXPO
The Sydney Harbour Week festival begins with Sail & Power Expo which will run from Friday March 3 to Sunday March 5 from 10am - 4pm at Sydney's Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. A must for all boating enthusiasts, this display features a wide range of boating lifestyles, including the latest in luxury power, racing and cruising yachts, dinghies, marine gear, sailing charters and holidays and much more. FREE entry.
POWERBOATS & FISHING
Round two of the Australian Formula 1 Superboat Series brought to you by the Beachcomber Hotel will hit Lake Budgewoi, NSW March 4 - 5 with the question being posed "who can or will prize the initiative away from team Trask?" The Toukley layout is not necessarily a top end speed circuit. Its triangular configuration lends itself as more a handling circuit so those that can push hard through the turns and have good acceleration should do well.
Luxury Boat Sales, importers of the high-style Cranchi (pronounced Crarn-key) range of Italian cruisers, plans to market the boats nationally after 18 months of retailing only in Sydney.
The second weekend of the Toyota Interclub Tournament will be held at Port Stephens, NSW, March 4 - 5. The event has 1000-plus participants and over 200 game fishing boats.
The Boating Industry Association of Victoria has a new Board President, with the return of Chris Warner who previously served four years in the role in the late 1990s.
