Wave Day Hits The Spit

The annual Queensland Yamaha Wave Day, held on the Gold Coast recently, provided the ultimate on-water test drive for those wanting to experience the latest Wave Runners from Yamaha

With the forecasted thunderstorm holding off, registered participants had a complete Wave Runner PWC experience.

A portion of the waterway was sectioned off to provide an ‘educational fun zone’ for PWC newcomers.

“Along with enjoying the latest Wave Runner models, a significant focus of the Yamaha Wave Day is PWC safety and driver responsibility,” said Yamaha Wave Runner manager Iain Macleod.

A big drawcard of the event was the S1 Challenge, in which entrants had the chance to race against the clock on a designated S1 circuit. The fasted time was 23.89, clocked on a GP1300R thoroughbred Wave Runner.

Wave Runners are available through an Australia-wide network of authorised Yamaha WaveRunner dealers.
