"The sleek, distinctive wide-body design of the Generation sets it apart from the pack", said Paolo Rista, designer of Walker Bay's RIB line.
"It's like driving a spacious sportscar; you get all the high-end performance without compromising on the extra luxuries that make it a pleasure to drive," he said.
Walker Bay Boats said the Generation RIBs are now available in Australia and distributed exclusively by The Haines Group.
With detailed attention to hull design and aerodynamics, the manufacturer said the Generation RIB outperforms its class with incredible handling at high speeds, adding that the fibreglass hull has a deep vee in the bow which cuts through the water for a smooth solid ride.
Walker Bay Boats said the wide body and open cockpit design provides a spacious interior allowing for more legroom and comfortable seating.
All seating has removable dual-layer, high-density foam cushioning, the stern deck has a pushbutton hydraulic hatch for storing gear, and there is a built-in fuel tank and quick-access battery compartment, said the builder.
Walker Bay Boats said the Generation comes equipped with bow and stern steps with teak laminate inlay, a removable all-round white pole light, LED navigation lights, two large rubrails, three folding davit lifting eyes, an integrated fishing rodholder, four cupholders, four stainless steel handrails, and four fully integrated pop-up horn cleats, while optional accessories include a pushbutton aluminium telescopic ski post and quick-flip swim ladder.
Walker Bay Boats said the 3.9m Generation 390 takes seven people and retails for $29,999 inc. GST (boat only), and the 4.3m Generation 430 has eight person capacity and retails for $30,999 inc. GST (boat only). Every Generation RIB, said the builder, is backed by a five-year limited hull warranty and a 10-year limited warranty on the Hypalon tubes.
