WA's biggest boat fest

The biggest boat show in the West opens today (October 9) through to Sunday (October 11) at Mandurah Ocean Marina. 

The Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show, sponsored by our boatsales.com.au site, is the third-largest boat show in Australia, and the largest show of its kind in Western Australia. It's a fun day out for the whole family and, of course, a showcase of local boats to buy.

Exhibits range from big boats on the water to trailerboats, PWCs, tinnies and kayaks. There's also fishing tackle and accessories, the latest electronics, outdoor gear, tourist and travel information, lifestyle products and more. Plus there is entertainment, activities and attractions suitable for all ages.

Show Director Peter Woods said this year’s event was shaping up to be just as big as other years, with many of the major brands signed on to exhibit.

"Exhibitor interest is high. We are pleased to welcome back exhibitors from previous years, as well as several new companies that will be at the Show for the first time."

Big Boats
The big boats on the extensive marina are always a hit at the Mandurah Boat Show. Sunseeker is always a leader with a multi-million dollar display of super-luxury motoryachts. The British-built Sunseeker boats are popular in the West and the company's display always attracts a crowd.

Aussie manufacturer Riviera will also have a big display at Mandurah and will be showing off its latest flybridge and SUV cruisers.

Multihull Solutions is another popular exhibitor and will be showing the new Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41 sailing catamaran.

Trailerboats
A huge part of the Mandurah Boat Show is the display of trailerboats and this year there will be some surprises along with all your old favourites.

Heading the list will be Sirocco Marine who will be showing the all-new Stabicraft SeaLegs 2100 we previewed. Sealegs and Stabicraft have combined their expertise to produce a quite amazing new amphibious vessel that's great for fishing, fun or commercial use.

Local manufacturer Kirby marine will be showing two new boats and if skiing is your preference, then Superior Ski Boats, Malibu and others will have the best in ski and wake boats.

Focus on fishing
The Mandurah Boat Show has always been recognised as more than just a boat show as it's designed as a fun, casual family day out. Peter said visitors to the show this year will experience their favourite activities and attractions, as well as some new ones that are planned.

"We are pleased to have Paul Worsteling coming back to Mandurah again this year," said Woods.

"Paul is great for the Show. He has amazing and entertaining stories to tell, and loves to have a chat to his fans."

Peter said this year’s Show was going to have a strong fishing theme, with the introduction of the new Fishing Forum.

"The Fishing Forum is an interactive and informal stage area, hosting a range of discussions on a variety of topics. Expert presenters will offer information to visitors and allow for casual Q&A opportunities. The Fishing Forum will be relaxed and fun, and an avenue for visitors to get information, ask questions, and speak to the experts in a one-on-one scenario.

The Engel Aquatank Fishing Show will also be a big attraction as in previous years, with guest presenters and speakers demonstrating the latest fishing products and techniques.

Fun for all the family
The Show has a strong reputation as being a fun, family day out; with entertainment and activities tailored for families.

This year the Show will offer free boat and kayak rides, fishing demos, cooking demos, fashion parades, pirate show for the kids, kid’s casting competition, safety info and games and more.
