Victoria has launched a new series of licence plates designed to lure keen anglers into decorating their road-going vehicles with fishing-specific themes.
Costing from $495, the plates come with the logo “Hooked on Victoria”, and a decal of an angler with a fish on the line to one side.
The new customised licence plates are part of a pre-election promise to do more for the state’s fishing enthusiasts. The “Hooked on Victoria” slogan was chosen from more than 2600 public suggestions, with the winning one submitted by Wayne Felmingham from Maffra. He wins a free set of the new fishing licence plates.
