Getting set for its launch at La Rochelle Boat Show next month, the luxurious new Victoria 67 flagship from Fountaine Pajot has been described by the French catamaran builder as its first superyacht.
Taking inspiration from its predecessor, the Galathea 65, the immense new 67-footer was designed in cahoots with Berret Racoupeau architects "in response to the demands from Fountaine Pajot’s discerning multihull clients".
The Victoria 67 features a sleek exterior complete with full flydeck, a new innovation for the shipyard’s extensive sailing range.
The magnificent flydeck can be easily accessed from the cockpit via two secure moulded stairways. With benches, sofas and tables, it's intended as a spacious haven for relaxation.
Inspiration for the flydeck came from the world’s best hotels, says Fountaine Pajot.
The flydeck also provides excellent vision for crew, with an ergonomically designed helm station and efficient deck equipment to enable smooth operation of the catamaran under power or sail.
This is just as well, as the Victoria 67 has the largest sail area of any Fountaine Pajot, measuring almost 200 square metres between her main and genoa.
At the aft end of the flydeck is an exclusive zone to accommodate communication equipment and solar panels.
As the company’s largest catamaran, the Victoria 67 is said to set new standards in space and style, with the largest interior volume and most expansive owners' suite of any cat in the Fountaine Pajot range.
The generous interior hails from Isabelle Racoupeau, who employed an "urban chic" approach to create a warm yet contemporary living space.
Expansive passageways, in-built equipment, separate living areas, subtle lines and a carefully considered floor plan "create a highly functional and eminently elegant interior."
The huge saloon is said to be gently bathed in light from expanse of panoramic windows, while below decks are five double cabins (the stateroom taking up half the port hull) and five en suites, with the optional of single (crew) berths in the bow.
