Van Diemen Luxury Craft in Tasmania recently launched a world-class tender and luxury limousine in Sydney with a number of firsts including a three-stage convertible cabriolet-style lid.
The one boat and its hydraulic lid can operate in three configurations including:
>> Stowed position with all components lowered to the height of the gunwale
>> Limousine position with the windows raised and roof lowered to form a sealed, comfortable forward cabin
>> Sports position with the roof lifted fully overhead where it provides sun protection.
As we reported on previously, the amazing Australian sports limo concept allows the vessel to transform at the touch of a button, while providing luxury seating for 13 guests.
When desired, the roof and windows fully open to allow guests to better enjoy the cruise and the environment.
The vessel's transom door opens flush with the aft deck for ease of boarding. This feature also maximises the aft deck area for swimming and entertainment.
Among the special features are a dedicated wine fridge and bar, and a whiskey nook.
STEBER HULL
Steber International's 11m hull was used in the construction of the new luxury sports limousine.
The hull, which was manufactured at Steber's factory complex in Taree, NSW, was shipped to Tasmania for fit-out.
"The proven hull design was a key factor in gaining the contract", says General Manager, Alan Steber, "as the client was looking for the added safety and security of a vessel to survey.”
SEAKEEPER GYRO
Fitted with twin helm stations, twin engines, bow and stern thrusters, the sports limousine is said to have exceptional manoeuvrability, making berthing an effortless operation.
The helm stations are stylishly fitted with full digital touch screen controls which operate the vessel's systems.
A Seakeeper gyroscopic stabiliser, the first in the world to be commissioned on a vessel of this size, provides improved stability and even greater levels of comfort by limiting the lateral roll of the vessel.
