American-built production boats such as the Hunter range may not have the snob appeal of some European yachts -- but they certainly offer great value for money and innovative styling and design.
The Australian company, US Yachts, will have four Hunter yachts on display at the Sydney International Boat Show -- the new Hunter 39 (first image), the popular Hunter 36, the very roomy centre cockpit Hunter 45CC and the Hunter 27.
Alongside will be the new Silverton 36 flybridge cruiser (second image) for those who prefer power to sail.
Matt Hayes, the CEO of US Yachts, told BoatPoint he was looking forward to showing off the new Hunter 39 and the Silverton 36 -- the first new motor yacht from Silverton since US Yachts took over the dealership in Australasia.
"It is always rewarding to see how people react to seeing the Hunter yachts up close for the first time," Hayes said.
"The design of the yachts, the brilliant interiors and the value for money when compared to the European brands puts Hunter to the forefront for many potential yacht owners, whether they are looking for day cruisers or to live aboard," added Hayes.
The new Hunter 39 has a striking and modern appearance with twin helm stations in the spacious cockpit. Below decks boasts a large gourmet galley, a flat screen TV with BOSE entertainment system and an inner spring mattress in the master stateroom.
The Silverton 36 flybridge convertible is the most popular boat is the Silverton company's history. The roomy master stateroom and opulent saloon with Ultraleather seating give a level of luxury not usually seen in a boat of this size.
Access to the flybridge is via a moulded set of stairs, rather than a ladder, to improve access and safety.
