With the great bulk of the boating and fishing community aging along with the demographic bump of the baby boomer generation, the reality of the on-water problem of weary eyes is increasing.
Boaties need polarized lenses to cut the glare and make life on the water comfortable - but more and more now also need reading glasses to tie a hook onto a line or even read the engine dials or LCD readouts on their navigation screens.
Ugly Fish has solved the problem by making a range of bi-focal sunglasses in corrective powers ranging from +1.50 to +2.50, enough to allow most people to tie a hook or comfortably read the Sunday papers.
The seven model range includes three new styles that will be released at this year’s 50th Annual BIA Melbourne Boat Show.
Unlike some other boating bi-focals, Ugly Fish glasses have the bi-focal lens infused into the whole lens, not clipped on, so people will hardly know you are wearing bi-focals.
All styles in the Ugly Fish range are available with plastic or aluminum frames and with smoke or brown lens options. Furthermore, all aluminum frames have spring-loaded hinges to allow for extra comfort and a firm fit.
