Two year ski race outboard warranties
Mercury Racing's OptiMax 250XS, 250Pro XS and 300XS outboards are now available with a two-year limited product warrantyThis warranty applies to engines used in ski racing and purchased new since January, 2008.
In the past, engines used for sports/competitive applications such as ski racing, have been excluded from warranty coverage due to the high stresses involved and the fact the engines were routinely modified by owners to further enhance performance.
Mercury Racing said the OptiMax 250XS, 250Pro XS and 300XS are the result of years of development and testing and their exceptional reliability has resulted in this new limited two-year product warranty.
"Put simply, this warranty reflects our confidence in these great engines," said Guy Williamson, Director of Service.
"They perform to the highest levels on a consistent basis - which is proven by the long history of race results they have helped achieve."
Mercury Racing said that OptiMax 250XS, 250Pro XS and 300XS outboards are the perfect engines for ski racers, with;
- The new PCM 07 controller increasing the capacity for real-time monitoring of engine and vessel data
- An exhaust adapter plate design which enables the use of a rear-mounted tie bar and hydraulic steering
- The heavy-duty swivel clamp bracket assembly enabling high-stress applications
- High performance, heavy duty gearcases.
This new two-year limited product warranty comes with the same conditions and exclusions applicable to other Mercury outboards, including improper modifications and operation outside recommended rpm range.
