Ocean Alexander celebrate its 40th Anniversary via the local debut of two motor yachts at this week’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. And it is set to offer prospective 90-foot model customers with a VR tour of its all new flagship at the Queensland showcase.
The Ocean Alexander 85 and 70e Motor Yachts will be the stars of the brand’s presence at SCIBS.
Showcasing the design skills of superyacht designer Evan K Marshall, the new Ocean Alexanders feature cutting edge construction that, says the manufacturer, incorporates unidirectional carbon lay-ups, infusion moulding and aircraft-grade aluminium I-beam structures to maximise strength and minimise weight.
The 85 and 70e also feature smart Octoplex electronic systems, which allow users to operate key functions onboard from a tablet, as well as the latest in Garmin navigation and other top-notch systems.
Local reps, Alexander Marine Australia, stress that each Ocean Alexander is delivered ‘turn-key’ and ready to go with a full fuel tank, china, crystal, cooking equipment, two sets of linen, fenders, safety equipment including a life raft, and an assortment of spare parts.

“We are thrilled to debut these new models to the Australian and New Zealand market,” said Todd Holzapfel, Alexander Marine Australia boss.
“I expect buyers will be very impressed with the finishes and advanced design, which are achieved without sacrificing the legendary Ocean Alexander safety and engineering protocols.”
Ocean Alexander claims the new 85 offers a “best in class” fuel economy for a range of over 2000 nautical miles.
“It’s engineered with long-term cruising in mind and is a great sea boat. It also has the largest open flybridge in its size… Or the 85 can be built as a sky lounge if that is the buyer’s preference,” said Holzapfel

Also on display at SCIBS will be Ocean Alexanders upcoming 90r – at least in virtual form.
The 90r is the result of “Ocean Alexander’s 40 years of boat building experience collaborating with award-winning naval architect Evan K Marshall”, says the company.
The r stands for revolution, the company says.
“The design is nothing less than spectacular with 360° views and floor to ceiling glazing,” Ocean Alexander claims.
