While many yacht and boat manufacturers around the world have been reeling from the effects of the global financial crisis, the Brisbane-based manufacturer CruiseCraft has been busy developing two new models.
The soon-to-be-released models are well advanced in their tooling and show the creativity of the third generation family-owned business.
The first of the new designs to go into production will be the Explorer 485, a tidy package that bears the CruiseCraft standards for design, value for money and quality. It will be followed by the larger Explorer 530, a model designed to appeal to those who enjoy fishing offshore.
The 530 is very deceptive as it appears much larger than its 5.3 metre overall length.
The national sales and marketing manger for CruiseCraft, Peter Benston, says the two new models were developed as the result of extensive consultation with CruiseCraft dealers and customer feedback obtained at boat shows around the country.
"Our two models are at the entry level end of the Explorer range," Benston says, "They are to be marketed as excellent value for money while maintaining the traditional CruiseCraft values of high quality, superior performance and seaworthy handling."
"Just as they are well targeted at first time buyers, they are equally relevent to boaters stepping up from an aluminum boat or those sizing down from larger rigs."
The two new models are expected to be in production next month and will bring the full line of Explorer models to the 685, 625, 575, 530 and 485.
The boats will be available at CruiseCraft CruiseCraft dealers across Australia.
