Alexander Marine Australia has unveiled three new Galeon Yachts models – the Galeon 500 Fly, Galeon 510 Skydeck and Galeon 640 Fly.
The expanded line-up features the luxury yacht brand’s Beach Mode, folding port and starboard side decks that greatly increase the amount of entertaining space in the cockpit.
The feature increases the cockpit’s beam in the Galeon 500 Fly and the Galeon 510 Skydeck – both use the same hull – from 4.7 metres to 6.0 metres and converts one side of the boat into a cocktail bar with the best scenic backdrop on the water.

Alexander Marine Australia dealer principal Todd Holzapfel said the new models stood out in their categories for their award-winning innovation, design features and quality construction.

“Since their launch last year, we are thrilled with the reception of Galeon Motor Yachts and the level of interest from Australian and New Zealand boaties,” Holzapfel said.
“These new models represent the next generation of Galeon in terms of added recreational space, precision engineering and impeccable European interiors.
“In the US, Galeon is the fastest growing brand in this segment. They perfectly suit the Australian boating lifestyle. Now is a great time to invest in a new boat ahead of this summer out on the water.”

The Galeon 500 Fly and 510 Skydeck are both flybridge cruisers, with the latter featuring an open flybridge rather than a T-topped structure over the uppermost deck.
The Galeon 640 Fly becomes the largest Galeon model on sale in Australia. It features a huge amount of living space spread across three levels, including a flybridge that extends almost all the way back over the cockpit to create a large tiered entertainment area.
“The spacious cockpit dining space, serviced from the adjacent aft galley, is an ideal space for entertaining and socialising,” Alexander Marine Australia said.

“Guests can enjoy the aft-facing pop-up TV from this location, and likewise, will enjoy the considerable weather protection provided to them by the flybridge hardtop overhang and her electric aft sunshade.
“The hydraulic swim platform is ideal for launching water toys and tenders, or a quick dip, as well as providing access to a skipper’s cabin.”
The flybridge features teak flooring, a large aft dining space and an amidships wet bar. Above, a retracting soft-top and electrically deployed sunshade provide shelter to the area.

The first Galeon 640 Fly brought into Australia features a skipper’s cabin and crew accommodation with access to the engine room, crew head, and helm door access to the side deck.
The boat is also equipped with extra refrigeration, a clothes washer and dryer, and a Seakeeper gyroscope that smooths out the rough stuff, either while underway or anchored up.
Other features include an optional aft lounge that can turn 180 degrees to face out over the water, saloon TV, large windows, a private companionway to the forward VIP stateroom, a full-beam owners’ stateroom, two other cabins, and a tender garage large enough to take a 3.2-metre RIB.
The Galeon 500 Fly and Galeon 510 Skydeck are also three-level entertainers featuring large and light saloons, three cabins including a full-beam master suite, and two bathrooms.

The Galeon 500 Fly’s large flybridge is fitted with a wet bar including a fridge, sunbeds, and a helm station. The first boat to arrive in Australia is also equipped with the optional aft lounge that can spin around so that instead of facing the cockpit, it can face the water.
The Galeon 510 Skydeck features coupe-style looks, but with the added benefit of the extra entertaining space upstairs.
One of the big benefits of this design is a large electrically retractable cover that encloses the flybridge when it’s not being used, making it fast and easy to either ready the boat’s upper level at the start of a weekend adventure, or close it up at the end.

The Galeon 510 Skydeck also features a utility room accessed via the swim platform that provides more refrigeration, a wet head, access to the engine room and storage space.
The boats have arrived in Australia in time for what would have been the official opening of the 2020 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, which would have had its official opening next week. Organisers plan on rescheduling the show later this year.
Alexander Marine Australia is based at The Boat Works on the Gold Coast, with the boats available for viewing by appointment for anyone in South East Queensland.
For those restricted by COVID-19 control measures, Alexander Marine Australia is offering real-time walkthroughs of each of the models.
