The manufacturer, Fox Sport Fishing, says that the rod was designed to tackle even the largest Marlin that swims in our oceans. During testing, the rod was responsible for catching fish to over 1,000lbs in weight. The XT is ideally suited to fish with IGFA standard 80lb class lines and lures.
The Stand Up XT has been furnished with the best American Stewart fittings, both with the roller guides, reel fitting and Gimbal.
When used in conjunction with a full harness, the length, power and positioning, in particular of the reel seat, allows you to get to work on those monster Marlin with the utmost efficiency.
This model will cope with modern braids up to 100lbs in breaking strain as well as a standard 80 class conventional or multiplying reel.
The Stand Up XT comes in a smart travel case, with a transportation length of only 52cm which is not only zipped for easy access, but also features a high quality internal protective cloth bag.
