Top Quintrex dealer

Hobart shop wins top gong

Quintrex, the country's largest selling boat brand, has announced the Hobart marine dealer, Lewis Marine, as its Australian Dealer of the Year for 2009.

Dealership owner and prominent Hobart boating identity, Hughie Lewis, says the award came as a complete surprise, "With the opening of our new showroom, we have been absorbed by the day to day tasks of setting it up and running it while also attending to the needs of our customers," Lewis says.

"We have certainly had a great year with Quintrex and we carry a lot of Quintrex aluminium boast in stock."

Quintrex sales and marketing manager Jason Boal says Lewis Marine excelled during a particularly tough time for marine dealers.

"As Hobart does not have an annual boat show like the mainland capital cities, Lewis Marine takes pride in presenting their own in-house boat show," Boal says. "It is a well organised event, promoting not only the Quintrex brand but also pleasure boating in general."

Lewis says the Quintrex Dealer of the Year Award doesn't go to the dealer who sells the most boats because a number of mainland dealers would easily outstrip his sales. "But on a per capita basis I reckon we do a pretty good job," he says.

Lewis Marine sells Qunitrex aluminium boats as well as products from CruiseCraft, Whittley, Clearwater, Silver Marine, Wave Runner and Yamaha.
