The 2025 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is a paradise for fishos, and this year served up a stack of great fishing boats to get anglers excited.
There is no better place than the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to check out newly launched boats. There were numerous standout models on offer at this year’s show, and we’ve handpicked some of them for a closer look.
Surtees Boats has unveiled an impressive lineup with its Game Fisher series, showcasing the new 620, 670 and 770 models. Each of the new models are tailored to meet the needs of keen fishos heading offshore.
The 620 Game Fisher comes in at 6.2m in length. You can chuck an outboard on the back up to 150hp. The hull comes in at a dry weight of 1530kg.
The 670 Game Fisher comes in a slightly larger hull size, coming in at 6.7m in length. The weight increases to 2200kg on this model, providing further stability, and it’s rated to 200hp. The 670 has a 250L fuel tank, making it perfect for overnight adventures and a longer dash, and you can install up to a 19-inch sounder. We were impressed by the full cabin seating, which also comes with sleeping infills.
The 770 Game Fisher is a serious offshore vessel. The flagship of the series comes in at 7.7m in length, weighs 2510kg and can handle up to 350hp on the back. It has an impressive 400L fuel tank and capacity to carry up to eight people, making this model ideal for extended trips.
Whether you’re chasing pelagics or enjoying a family adventure, this boat has some serious space and includes a table, sink and fridge, making your time on the water as comfortable as ever.
All of the new Game Fisher models come with a raised sheerline that not only looks good, but allows space to walk around the side of the boat.
Your Surtees can be painted in any colour you like while all models come with the trusty Surtees 10-year hull warranty, giving buyers added peace of mind.
Next up we’re looking at the all-new Stabicraft models. This company is known for its rugged and versatile aluminium boats and this year the brand released three new standout models.
We took a closer look at two of them, those being the 2050 Frontier and the 2350 Supercab.
The first thing you notice when climbing aboard the 2050 Frontier is the insane amount of onboard storage. The deck space makes an incredible platform to fish off and this boat would comfortably accommodate three anglers towards the bow.
There’s a massive 600L storage space below with enough room to store camping gear or even a portable fridge.
The hull comes in at 6.32m in length and it has a maximum horsepower rating of 200hp. The gunnels feature lockable doors that are long enough to store 8ft rods, which will attract many keen anglers.
We were impressed with the centre chair that can be moved into three different positions to cater for sitting or standing. The centre console windshield can be folded down too, making it easier to store the boat in a garage.
The 2350 Supercab comes in at 7.17m in length and features a new hull design offering 360-degree fishability. We are yet to see another layout that allows you to fish all the way around the boat like this, while still having a generous, fully enclosable cabin on board.
Stabicraft has widened the cabin considerably while increasing the keel angle and adding tapered forward sealed chambers, which ultimately results in a drier ride in rough conditions. It does this by dispersing the water back further under the hull.
It felt very roomy to walk in and around the cabin and, in our opinion, you would comfortably fit six people in the cab and sleep three on board.
There isn’t any wasted space on this boat; Stabicraft has truly thought of everything with this new model, and you can really make it feel like home with options like a fridge, toilet, suspension seating – even a pie warmer!
With a 400L fuel tank and a maximum horsepower rating of 350hp, the 2350 Supercab has been built for extended offshore trips and would even make for a comfortable family day out.
Lastly, we stopped in to check out Yellowfin’s stand, which had two new models on display. We paid particular attention to the brand-new YF-66 centre console.
This boat stood out in its impressive new ‘Sandbar’ colour, which is one of three new colours available from Yellowfin. It comes in at 6.6m in length with a maximum horsepower rating of 200hp.
You can have up to six anglers on board, and they will be able to move around the boat easily with 360-degree fishability. A self-draining deck takes care of any spray or rain. The scupper drainage system has been updated with filters to prevent blockage.
One of the key features at the transom is the bait station. It has five rod holders, a well-thought-out flat bait board and space at the rear of the table for waste.
A new live bait tank with a viewing window is a handy feature to keep an eye on the health of your bait and an upgrade means the flow of water to the tank is now consistent at all speeds.
This boat comes standard with a checkerplate floor, but the casting platform and gunnels come with U-DEK installed. The gunnels are of a generous width, allowing anglers casting on the flats to be able to walk right around the boat. They’re wide enough to sit on, too.
A brand-new helm seat can be moved into three different positions while the new console can accommodate up to 16-inch screens. This model has been thoughtfully designed and comes with many options, allowing owners to further improve the vessel.
This year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show delivered an exceptional lineup of vessels that displayed innovation and comfort along with the latest technology.
The diverse range of boats on display at SCIBS reflected the evolving needs of anglers – and the future of fishing boats looks more exciting than ever.
