Tickets have gone on sale for the 2019 Melbourne International Boat Show ahead of its June 13 official opening.
The show, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Wharf, is this year celebrating its 59th running, promoting recreational boating, on-water safety and the “Life’s Better with a Boat” philosophy.
The tickets for the 2019 show, which will run from Thursday, June 13 to Sunday, June 16, will cost $22 for adults aged 18 and over and bought online, with tickets bought at the door costing $25.
Concession and student tickets bought online will cost $18, or $21 at the door, while children aged between 11-17 will cost $12 if ordered online, or $14 at the door.
Children aged 10 and under will be admitted free.
If you’re planning on making a family outing of the show, a ticket covering two adults and three children will cost $47 online or $50 at the door.
A two-day pass will cost $34 online or $37 at the door, while a “twilight” pass – giving admission to the show after 4pm on Thursday and Friday only – will be $15 if bought online or $17 if bought at the door.
The Melbourne-based show includes Australia’s best range of trailer boats from recognised locally made brands to the latest international offerings.
The models on show cover everything from fishing to water sport tow craft or weekend cruiser, tinnies, and other recreational lifestyle watercraft such as pontoon boats, inflatables, kayaks and jet skis.
Once again, a range of marine and fishing products is expected to be on offer, as well as outboard and inboard engines from all the leading brands including Mercury, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, Evinrude and Volvo.
Boat hardware, electronics, trailers, winches, fit-up fabrication specialists, fishing tackle and marine flooring are all presented by well-known industry retailers. Food stalls, children's activities and live demonstration displays covering cooking, products and fishing tutorials (check the stage times) allow the crowd to take time out.
The circuit can take a couple of hours to navigate, so the grab the yearbook as you enter and use the exhibitors' map to maximise your time.
