This Numarine 62 Hardtop is wowing Sydney

Living up to its title, Numarine has just launched and landed its first boat into Australia, a 62 Hardtop, described as a boundary-breaking boat by the Turkish yard that uses "freshness, comfort and cheer" as the guidelines for its design.

Paul Miletta, director of the local agents Q7 Marine, is as excited by the the first Numarine in Australia as those who have already celebrated aboard on Sydney Harbour.

"We're different to everyone else. The boat is vacuum infused, the quietness is unbelievable, we cruising with 67dba at the helm. The space for a 62 is like that of a 70 footer.

"We've managed to get everything on one level and we have full standing height in the engine room," Miletta adds.

While the styling is certainly eye-catching, the 62 Hardtop appears to support its contemporary European design lines with some practicality.

There’s a decent cockpit, wide walkaround decks, and an especially accommodating sunken bow seating area. You can see this being put to good use on the boat pictured hereabouts on Sydney Harbour. The perfect boat for a foredeck party.

Refreshingly, the more traditional amidship’s galley in the saloon delivers a return to the aft lounging area, which is the most comfortable part of any boat, and it's opposite an entertainment hub and alongside the rear opening saloon doors. This will ensure the Numarine 62 has somewhere you can retreat indoors to relax.

Abundant use of glazing enlarges the interior — the windscreen is one piece and weighs 320kg — which has a cutting-edge luxury Italian finish, with large-grain light timbers and finish options to enliven things further.

The three guest cabins all have en suites, lifting the level of luxury
and privacy further, while close attention was paid to the full-beam owner's
suite. Measuring 5.10-metres wide, the stateroom with transverse bed
features the brand's trademark enlarged diamond-shaped windows at water
level.

But it's the high-volume hull and that large foredeck seating area that makes the Numarine 62 Hardtop an exciting new on-water entertainer and new luxury addition to Sydney Harbour.

Performance claims are up to 35-knots top speed using IPS 1200s, with the IPS 950 base engines giving 30.8 knots on the Sydney boat, and 900hp D13 Volvos with shafts are listed as an option.

Numarine has a big range of big boats spanning from this 62 to a 130ft superyachts, with and without flybridges, plus there’s a new Explorer range.

The local Numarine dealer is Q7 Marine based at d'Albora Marinas in Cabarita on Sydney Harbour.

The 62 Hardtop will be officially launched at a cocktail function in February at Darling Harbour Marina. But this boat has now been sold and a 62 Flybridge is on order, we're told.

"I believe we will have 70 and a 105 on Sydney Harbour before too long," Miletta says.
